Out there you can find exciting repackaged and remastered versions of this groundbreaking album. Only one thing is missing. A good old back to Black bootleg version of this good old too much re released album. We need a tubular paradise and to complete the hunger you need to download this delighted live album.

Back to the dark and moody world of Angelo Badalamenti and the hauting voice of Julee Cruise.

Beautiful, sensitive, dreamy, mysterious is what you find here.

The album start where the first one ended, (see VOL 11), mysterious and strange sounds dominate the opening and suddenly; there you are in Twin Peaks; the known theme followed by the whispering, swirling sound of Julee's voice.

In short: This album is a wonderful listen for the delicate purity of "Julee Cruises" angelic vocals, that against the music of "Badalamenti" that is dark and moody, alongside the sweet and idyllic ones. All in a Lynchian sound. Enjoy!

This is VOL 13

The albums starts with x-files.  Mark Snow as always, even to this very day, has that same signature to his music. The reverbed piano parts blending with the strings of the orchestra, or synthesizer strings, bring back all those classic X File moments. They are no sythesizer sounds this time, they have been replaced with the great orchestra. Great opening title for this album.  

Next up is such tracks like "The Garden"  great ambient track, "Teardrop" dreamy, atmospheric urban feeling song, "All is full of Love" haunting melodic, beautiful voice from Bjork, a sensational combination of moody cold sound, this song however represent what this album is about. In another way; All is full of Emotions.

The coldness we found inside us when all want to feal is love.

This is a fantastic album to listen to late at night for having a good night's rest! Its like a dive into the dream world of sauvage. Imagine the wilderness and the uniqe places of Africa. Much of this musical tapestry is somber, moody, melancholy and atmospheric in nature. Some of it's structure is almost classical in nature and global/world music sense (particularly the opening track /title track with it's African rhythms). This album offers Vangelis's finest mood music in a dreamscape moment.
There is some goodies in this album including rare moments like Silent Portraits part 1 and 2. Part 2 is a rythmic piece almost 11 minutes in length, building around electronic percussion and halfway adding a wonderful synth-layer on top. Part 1 is a slow (electric) piano piece of just over 9 minutes, slowly building with added flute-like synths. Great moments...
If you want to hear Africa and the wilderness, this is it.

Suprise :) Yet another collection. The Italian American composer, known for his music score soundtrack work for director David Lynch. (notably the saga "Twin Peaks", "Mulholland Drive", "Blue velvet", "Wild at Heart" ect ect....)

Sad, melancholic, beautiful, dark, fragile, gentle... Turn your lights off and sit in the dark while you enjoy a nice cup of coffee black as midnight on a moonless night.

It is probably good idea not to hold your drink in your hands while listening. This hauting music brings you to another world.

The music is ethereal, jazzy, sexy and totally hypnotic to the human ear, the female performances from Julee Cruise helps, her voice is much like the melodies, beautiful and dreamy, pure heaven. It brings you back to a place you never will get tired of. I call it "The Music Lodges".

For best listening, turn it on when the thunderstorm roll through town and listening to it with the sound of the rain pattering outside.

Shut your eyes while listening and you'll burst into flames inside..

Finally the arranged dark ochestral collection is here. This is most

sad, fun, beautiful, touching, wintery experience. A musical journey. Danny Elfman is like story told in music.

You can almost feel the snow falling over your head. Every track is wonderful. The instrumentation and the use of magical, "wintery" choruses create a fantastic feel.

There is moments like, quirky, skillfully mad violining, sense of melancholy tragedy sound, childhood sweetness blended together in the cue is nothing less than heartbreaking moods, bold, brassy, heroic, mighty, and percussive. Simply; It contains outstanding orchestral music that soars and never lets up.

It starts with a deliciously dark score from Nightbreed. Carnival Underground plunges the listener into the bizarre, nightmarish depths of darkness.

The Joker's theme is a comedic like waltz that shows off the funny side of the villain. "Descent Into Mystery" contains great choral passages, along with wonderful string work and an explosion of the main theme. "Finale" is one of the best finales I have ever heard in a film score. And not to forget the catchy soundtrack of Beetlejuice.

"It is with much sadness that we bring you the news that Richard Wright passed away today (September 15th), after a short struggle with cancer. It goes without saying that he will be greatly missed.

A founding member of the early Pink Floyd, his distinctive keyboard work was a cornerstone of the band's music, yet his contribution was of course so much greater than that, as a vocalist and songwriter, responsible for many significant pieces of music throughout the band's career.

Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

No one can replace Richard Wright. He was my musical partner and my friend.

In the welter of arguments about who or what was Pink Floyd, Rick's enormous input was frequently forgotten.

He was gentle, unassuming and private but his soulful voice and playing were vital, magical components of our most recognised Pink Floyd sound.

I have never played with anyone quite like him. The blend of his and my voices and our musical telepathy reached their first major flowering in 1971 on 'Echoes'. In my view all the greatest PF moments are the ones where he is in full flow. After all, without 'Us and Them' and 'The Great Gig In The Sky', both of which he wrote, what would 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' have been? Without his quiet touch the Album 'Wish You Were Here' would not quite have worked.

In our middle years, for many reasons he lost his way for a while, but in the early Nineties, with 'The Division Bell', his vitality, spark and humour returned to him and then the audience reaction to his appearances on my tour in 2006 was hugely uplifting and it's a mark of his modesty that those standing ovations came as a huge surprise to him, (though not to the rest of us).

Like Rick, I don't find it easy to express my feelings in words, but I loved him and will miss him enormously.

Dark, moody and strange...

I must admit that this is one of my best work. The selection of songs are mixed together in perfect orchestral harmoni.  Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard's score is dark and moody but exciting enough to listen to without succumbing to depression. This is no 60-minute selection of background music, this is a powerful orchestral score that commands your attention. I Hope Fans of Hans Zimmer and/or James Newton Howard will be pleased with this volume. :) That because, it is movements from many great James Newton Howard soundtracks including; pearls like Yanni's "One man's dream" and John Murphy's tracks.

The album pulses with intensity and it is really NO downtime on this entire album. The music carries you every step of the way, the listen on its own is a journey in itself.

Mike Oldfield have just released an exceptional orchestral album under the title; "Music Of The Spheres". It's official that  Music of the Spheres has entered at number 1 in the UK classical charts and he is back in the best tubular health :)

This is actually album number 24 in his  collection of studio recordings.
